The "Music Festivals, a Changing World" international conference is the result of three years of research into nearly 400 international music festivals focusing on all music genres ranging from jazz to world music, Pop Rock, art music, contemporary music, etc.
Over 20 people have worked together to deliver the results of this unique study of the reality and challenges of these artistic and cultural events which continue to enjoy success time and again.
Five panel discussions with over 40 speakers from 12 countries (researchers as well as festival representatives and their partners) will enable the findings of this extensive study to be discussed.
This conference will have a simoultaneous translation in english and in french.
As the Conference is held within the Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai Eurometropolis, the evening programme also includes artistic events organised in line with the NEXT cross-border festival and lille3000 programme.
Please take a look at the online programme. Registration for the conference is now open and it would be our pleasure to see you there.
